Hey Philly Trans Health Conference attendees, I just found out that you can buy my books and prints at the Wooden Shoe Books table all weekend!
Hey NYC! I’ll be at BGSQD - Weds. June 5 @ 7p - hosted at Strange Loop Gallery, 27 Orchard St., New York, NY, 10002, United States
Cartoonists Annie Mok and Brendan Leach share their work and engage in a short conversation moderated by cartoonist & blogger Brad Pearson of Brokelyn & Terrorvision
“Annie Mok is bursting with ideas”
- Rob Clough, The Comics Journal / High-Low
Annie Mok reads recent comics from Frank Santoro’s online magazine ‘Comics Workbook’ and elsewhere, that center around the body, memory, sexuality, and trans identity. She sells Risograph-printed comics and digital prints, such as Jim Henson bio comic ‘Stitching Together,’ and American Illustration 2012 ‘Archive’ selection ‘Annie Mok Draws James Joyce.’ A Q&A and signing follow the reading.

Brendan Leach makes comics and illustrations. In 2010, Brendan received an MFA in Illustration from The School of Visual Arts.
His comic, The Pterodactyl Hunters (in the Gilded City) won the “Outstanding Comic” Ignatz Award in 2012. It was also selected for inclusion in Best American Comics 2011, published by Houghton Mifflin, and awarded a Xeric Foundation grant in 2010. His illustrations have been recognized by The Society of Illustrators and 3x3 magazine. The Pterodactyl Hunters (in the Gilded City) is distributed by Top Shelf Comics in the US and published by Ca et La in France.
His graphic novel, Iron Bound, will be published September 2013 by Secret Acres.

I hope you can come! The first two stops, TCAF and Zinefeast, have been a dream. I’ve been wanting to plan this out for years, and I’m super jazzed that we’re all putting it together.
Mega big thanks to: Get Lucid! (Pete, Miguel, Erica), Anna Bongiovanni and Ashley von Burg, Brendan Leach, Brad Pearson, Sam Sharpe, Barb Schulz, Mark Harwood-Jones and his house, the TCAF staff and volunteers, Olivia Fox and the Zinefeast crew, Rae Billstein, and all of the venues.
I’ll be at table 111 on the first floor at the Toronto Comics Arts Fest this weekend. You can find everyone else here. I recommend 2D Cloud, Sam Alden, Ivan Brunetti, Lilli Carré, Edie Fake, Lisa Hanawalt, the Hernandez bros., Hic & Hoc, Uncivilized Books (Tom Kaczynski), Retrofit Comics (Box Brown), Eric Kostiuk-Williams, Koyama Press, Lucy Knisley, Saicoink, & Joe Quinones, among others. Have fun!
Omg guys, edible fliers! Eat zine! #ZINEFEAST
Free samples at the hub tonight!!
Can’t wait to be at Zinefeast on Sunday at SUNY Purchase. I do a panel with Olivia Horvath & Anna Anthropy (I am literally dreaming) at 3pm. It’s the first stop of my tour.
Hey all, here’s “Sunday comics” (click the image to enlarge), my bookmark for Quimby’s Bookstore. I’ll be doing a reading & signing there on 5/25 @ 7p (FB link) with my friend & sometime collaborator Sam Sharpe.
I was thinking of making a print of this for TCAF and the tour. Would anyone buy a $5 print of this drawing?
I felt like leaving this image really sparse and open, but I wanted to fit big stacks of comics & zines on here. I only got Chicago’s Laura Park and Lilli Carré, but here’s what I wanted to throw in there:
Wet Moon / Gaylord Phoenix / Shotgun Seamstress / Fix My Head / QTZ / Rot Zine / Peanuts (with Peppermint Patty on the cover) / SuperMutant Magic Academy / Fucking Trans Women / Rocket Queen
